Lea Schmidt-Rogers, who has urged our chapter to do a Pipe Organ Encounter writes from San Diego (where they are now planning their third Encounter): “One of the interesting ways to learn if you want to do one is have one of your members be an overnight chaperon for us. We could use someone for the women. We would pay for her meals and board. If you know of someone who might be interested, let me know.” If anyone is interested, please get in touch with Lea at email@example.com.
She has also written more recently, “I am fairly confident that the Schmidt Foundation would contribute to scholarships for any Evansville High School students that would want to attend our POE [San Diego]. I know that St. Louis is having one, and that may be an option for some of the students too.”
Carolyn Adams was wondering if anyone else is planning to go to the AGO Convention in Chicago, July 2nd-6th. Her e-mail is firstname.lastname@example.org See “The American Organist” magazine for further details on the convention.
