WINNNERS OF THE AGO/QUIMBY REGIONAL COMPETITION FOR YOUNG ORGANISTS:
The first-place winner of our chapter's competition was Joshua Brodbeck, a junior at Indiana University. The runner-up was Michael Salazar, a student of Dr. Douglas Reed at the University of Evansville, and organist at Salem Church of Darmstadt.

PIPE ORGAN ENCOUNTER ADVANCED ADVANCING!
Eighteen students have been accepted into the 2009 Pipe Organ Encounter Advanced week to take place here in Evansville this summer June 21-16. We need volunteers from amoung our local chapter members and friends, and from local churches. Around twenty local churches will be involved in hosting POEA events and student practice.

EXECUTIVE COMMITEE OFFICERS INSTALLED ON MAY 4
Following an enjoyable social time and meal hosted by Mark Hatfield at St. John's East United Church of Christ, there was a business meeting. Reports were given on the work of the guild, with a discussion of the upcoming POEA led by Robert Nicholls, POEA Director. Outgoing Education Coordinator Helen Reed gave a brief talk on the important mission of education in the A.G.O. Newly elected officers were installed in a meaningful service led by Daniel Wilkerson, Mark Hatfield, Tom Drury, Robert Nichols. An exhortation was given by our special guest David Lamb, Dean of the Southern Indiana chapter of the A.G.O.
