Guild of Organists Evansville Chapter Local Programs for 2018-2019
Friday, September 28, 2018⋅6:00 – 7:00pm On September 28th at 7:00 p.m., the Indiana University
Jacobs School of Music Organ Department will present "Spirit of
Life: A Creation Hymn Festival" at First Presbyterian Church of
Evansville.
Sunday October 28, 2018 at 3pm Chapter Members' Recital on the Taylor & Boody Organ at
The Convent of the Ursuline Sisters of Mount St. Joseph

Sunday 11 November at 4:00
p.m. Thanksgiving Hymn Festival and Service of
Dedication at First Presbyterian Church in Evansville. The
Edmund Giesecke Organ restored in memory of Helen Skuggedal Reed
will be officially dedicated at this community-wide
service. Encourage any singers and choir members you know
to come early at 2:30 p.m. to run through a couple of anthems
and arrangements to be sung during the service.
January 11, 2019 at 5:30 PM: Organ Crawl Friday, January 11, 2019 at 5:30 p.m., we will host an Organ
Crawl for Adults at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, followed by
dinner at the Hacienda just down the road.
February: Organ Masterclass with Dr. Christopher Young, Professor of Organ at Indiana
University Bloomington

Church in Evansville for the Annual Meeting at 5:30 p.m.,
Evening Prayer with Installation of Officers at 6:00 p.m., and
dinner at The Dapper Pig (c.7:15 p.m., cash menu!).
