The Evansville AGO has members from around the Tri-State, sharing knowledge about and inspiring passion for the organ by offering concerts, workshops for all ages, student scholarships for organ lessons, and more.
We are a sponsor of Pipedreams on WKU Public Radio, a weekly radio program featuring great organ music. It is broadcast on WKU Sunday evenings at 8 Central/9 Eastern, with past programs available on the Pipedreams website.
Pedals, Pipes & Pizza is a fun, hand-on musical learning experience for children and youth, providing the opportunity to help assemble a miniature pipe organ and play some real pipe organs! Piano students are invited to bring some of their piano music and try it out on the organs. If you would like information about a future Pedals, Pipes & Pizza event email us at our address below. The public is invited to join the Evansville Chapter for its May program which this year will feature performances by local organists on four pipe organs at the historic First Presbyterian Church in downtown Evansville. The program begins at 6pm Central Time on Monday, May 4, 2026 and there is no admission charge.
The Evansville Chapter offers scholarships to encourage young students interested in organ lessons. Typically, the student will have had some previous keyboard study, and the scholarship would subsidize half of an organ teacher’s fee. Please email us at evansvilleago@yahoo.com for more information.
Pipe Organ Encounters are summer AGO events at several locations around the country that offer teenagers a rewarding week of learning about the pipe organ and its construction, lessons on the organ, and opportunities to hear and play outstanding instruments.
